Are you looking for something new and exciting to do with your family this October that is fun for all ages? Bring them to the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular held at the Roger Williams Park Zoo from October 1 through November 1! As the sun begins to set, the glow from 5,000 jack-o-lanterns is breathtaking. Additionally, the beautiful Wetlands Trail is lit up by more than 100 illuminated carved pumpkins both on the ground and high up in the trees. From carvings of Larry Bird to Vincent Van Gogh, the creativity is endless and the talent is astonishing.
Each year an innovative theme is selected for the fall event. This year’s event is “The People’s Choice” and will feature subjects that the public loved and embraced throughout the past 27 years of shows. Intricate pumpkin art will display “The Phantom of the Opera”, the Golden Age of Hollywood, the 50th anniversary of “The Sound of Music” and many more.
You will find some additions to the spectacular this year. Image and light projections, spooky fog and musical theatrics will enhance the scenery of the Wetlands Trail.
Don’t miss out on this exciting and memorable trip to Roger Williams Zoo Park!
